  • Jimmy earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from The City University, London in 1984, and followed this with a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Salford University.
  • He joined HLS in 1986. In his time at HLS he has had operational line management responsibility for many of the departments in the Division.

  • Mr. Tommy Kong is a recognized expert in Chinese New Chemical Substance Management Regulation (‘China REACH’) and implementation of GHS in China, the leader of a team involved into more than 90 substances co-registration under EU REACH Regulation and speaker in various Chinese domestic and international chemical regulatory workshops/conferences.
  • Tommy is leading the ‘China REACH’ and China GHS Program in REACH24H Consulting Group and successfully submitted over 100 new chemical notifications to CRC-MEP covering all notification types (R&D Record Notification, Simplified Notification and Regular Notification), he has gathered extensive experience in Chinese chemical compliance practices and built a close relationship with local regulatory experts and government authorities.
  • Tommy received his MSc. degree from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Peking University and BE from Beijing University of Chemical Technology separately.
  • Tommy is currently the Deputy Manager of Regulatory Compliance Department charged with New Chemical Notification and C&L in chief.
